Hi Kajal, DevOps is one of the highly paid jobs in IT. I am in the role of selling DevOps solutions and let me tell you - every customer has a requirement in this. 

Here is a framework that you can follow: 

1: Structured Learning: 

Pick up courses in Udemy. Start from the fundamentals. Understand each concept thoroughly by researching more on that topic. 

2: On the job training: 

Once you get into the job, you will hear a lot of jargons / industry terminologies. (Eg: Lot of DevOps work is now called as SRE or Site Reliability Engineering). Read more about it as you hear. 

3: Understanding the role prospects: 

There are multiple career paths possible once you enter into a company as a fresher. For the first two years, focus only on building technical acumen in the technologies you are working on (Say within DevOps, you understand the CI / CD process, automation, hands on experience on tools like Jenkins, Ansible etc)

From thereon, understand other roles that you could probably explore. Some of the career trajectory: 

* DevOps Engineer (continue technical) -> DevOps Technical Architect -> Cloud / Infra Technical Architect -> Enterprise Architect -> CTO

* DevOps Engineer -> DevOps Presales Architect (get into the business side) -> Infra / Cloud Overlay Sales -> Technology Business Head -> CxO

* DevOps Engineer -> DevOps Delivery -> Cloud / Infra Delivery -> Vertical Delivery -> COO
