What software engineering skills (e.g. DSA, LLD, HLD etc.) should I add as a data scientist? Goal is to transition to a ML/AI specific engineering role like MLE or SWE-AI/ML ?

DSA till intermediate is fine. LLD is also important but not majorly important.
more focus should be on underlying technologies such as apache spark and Data lake storage.
end to end architecture being used for ETL needs to be clear for Data ingress and egress.
pinch of analytics tools might also help

In order to move to ML engineer role, you should learn ML algo like decision tree, use tool like numby, sklearn. But more on building pipeline for data science you can learn Kakfa, Airflow, Hadoop
