Hello Himanshu,
Building a resume is very tricky. The differentiating factor for the resume is what work you have accomplished and what your achievements are. Build your resume with data points (example: Built X module in Y timeline with Z resources). Also, it would help if you modify/tweak your resume based on the Job description for which you are applying. For example, include specific keywords, terminologies, etc.
For LinkedIn, build your network, publish good blog posts about your learnings, and provide relevant comments. In this way, you are increasing your visibility, networking and, with it, increasing your knowledge on the subject.
Also, highlight your resume with your education, Achievements, projects (mini, primary, etc) and awards.
Also, note that your resume should be at most two pages.
You can schedule a class with me, where I can guide you in detail. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks

Hi Himanshu,
Creating a good resume is not an easy task, because recruiters do not spend a lot of time shortlisting your resume. So always try to mention projects that have more weight, and also put the role that u play in project building.
and many more.......

Hi Himanshu,
I get how tough it can be to stand out and get referrals on LinkedIn. Here’s a straightforward approach:
- Resume:
- Make it crisp and clear, including sections like education, experience, skills, summary, and portfolio links.
- Highlight your achievements with specifics: what you did, how you did it, the results, and the impact.
- Use relevant keywords for ATS compatibility.
- Referrals on LinkedIn:
- Yes, getting referrals is tough. Its like cold calling in sales which has a 5% global average response rate. You can push this to 20% with the right strategy.
- Message people who are active on LinkedIn, likely to refer you, and where you have mutual connections.
- Your message should introduce who you are and why you're reaching out.

To make your resume stand out, focus on adding differentiating factors such as:
1. **Quantifiable Achievements**: Highlight measurable results like improving processes, saving costs, or increasing efficiency.
2. **Unique Projects**: Include real-world projects that showcase problem-solving skills or innovations relevant to the industry you're targeting.
3. **Certifications**: Add relevant certifications like business analytics, supply chain management, or foreign languages that align with international business.
4. **Soft Skills**: Emphasize leadership, adaptability, and cross-cultural communication, especially if you’ve worked in diverse environments.
5. **Internships/Volunteer Work**: Relevant internships or global exposure can demonstrate practical experience and an international perspective.
For getting referrals, personalizing your outreach is key. Instead of sending generic referral requests, try the following:
- **Build a Relationship**: Engage with the person’s content, comment on their posts, and show genuine interest in their work before asking for a referral.
- **Tailored Messages**: Write a brief, personalized message explaining why you're a good fit for the role and why you value their referral.
- **Alumni Networks**: Leverage alumni connections from your college or any previous workplace. Alumni are often more inclined to help.
