Mentee Question

Asked by Saurabh jagadale

So hey, I am a student of mechanical diploma but lately I've realised that I have no interest in this field. Instead I want to become a software developer. Considering the time and money I have , I can't do formal education( CS degree) and I am opting for self learning through internet, coding bootcamps and courses. After getting enough skills will I get job in this field or I'll be refused because of my education path. Please help me and it'll be great if you answer me through email only. Thank you !

@Saurabh Jagadale

definitely you can enter software development without a cs degree . here only skills and capacity matters in terms of coding and software development .

i will be able to guide you learn fundamentals of programming, dsa concepts , system design concepts . there are my fellow mets who don't own a cs degree and have shined in this field . the only mantra is to upskill yourself on regular intervals .
