Yes, you can go, but make a plan or roadmap so that your things will not mesh up and you will not get frustrated. Many students start learning and make long, long roadmaps that they can follow, but 99% of them fail to follow the roadmap, and then they can do their work efficiently, wasting a lot of time.

My suggestion is that

  1. Make a 1-day plan.
  2. then make a 1-week plan.
  3. then make a 2-week plan.
  4. then make a 4-week plan.
  5. then make a 6-month plan.

These 5 plans help you achieve your goal; there is no need to make a 4-year or 1-year plan. Make small plans and grab your dream job.

First Year

DSA, C, C++:

Focus on mastering Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA): This is crucial for technical interviews and competitive coding. Platforms like LeetCode, HackerRank, and Codeforces are excellent for practice.

Programming Languages (C, C++): These languages are a good foundation. Ensure you understand the core concepts thoroughly.

Competitive Coding: Participate in coding competitions regularly. This will improve your problem-solving skills and make your resume stand out.

Second Year

Web Development and Data Analytics:

Web Development: Learn both front-end and back-end technologies. Start with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for front-end, and pick a back-end framework like Node.js, Django, or Ruby on Rails.

Data Analytics: Get comfortable with Python, R, and SQL. Learn about data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI, and understand basic statistics and data handling techniques.

Third Year

Internships and Projects:

Internships: Start applying for internships early. Websites like Internshala, LinkedIn, and company career pages are good resources. Internships provide practical experience and enhance your resume.

Projects: Work on projects that demonstrate your skills in both web development and data analytics. This will not only strengthen your understanding but also provide talking points during interviews.

General Advice

Networking: Connect with seniors, professors, and industry professionals. Attend workshops, webinars, and tech meetups. LinkedIn is a great platform for professional networking.

Online Courses and Certifications: Platforms like Coursera, edX, and Udacity offer valuable courses. Certifications from recognized institutions can boost your resume.

Soft Skills: Communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are crucial. Participate in group projects and extracurricular activities to build these skills.

Resume and Interview Preparation: Regularly update your resume with relevant experiences. Practice mock interviews and get feedback.

Specific Goals

Outperforming CSE Students: Your focus on DSA, web development, and data analytics is a good strategy. Complement this with strong projects, competitive coding achievements, and internships to build a robust profile.

Achieving 15LPA as a Fresher: Target companies known for higher pay packages and apply for roles that align with your skills. Preparing thoroughly for interviews and showcasing your diverse skill set will be key.
