Payscale will depend mainly upon companies and less on roles. In my opinion, you shouldn't be too much bothered by payscale in starting few years of your career but focus more on learning. There is no need to do masters until you are looking to work in another country(in that case getting visa is easier through masters). FAANG companies do hire freshers but your profile needs to be really good(if you aren't from Tier 1 colleges). Regarding data science and other roles prep and other questions, it will be better if you will setup a trial call with me as it will be easier to answer your questions there. Also Sakshi's is very correct about your other questions, so I am not discussing about that.

Hey there,
Firstly Data Scientist is not really an entry level job, you usually make your way through data specific roles, generally analyst and with experience transition. Coming to pay scale, it always depends on how good are you in your field and which organisation you are part of.
If you genuinely want to purse data science, masters is relatively straightforward route. However i always suggest someone to explore the field, do few personal projects before making your mind up.
Data Engineer is again an amazing domain. You get plenty opportunities. Usually SWE roles have data engineer domains as well. This way there are plenty doors opened. SWE is again a very well paid role.
It seems you have recently started your university education. I would suggest you to explore a bit more. You could even setup a trial session, for me to understand your interests to depth.
