Mentors Answer

Hi Ajay,

I would suggest you to emphasize on the results achieved from your projects while mentioning them in your resume. Working on a variety of projects incorporating skills like SQL, Python and Tableau is certainly great, however, ensure that you can solve business problems and apply your knowledge to real use cases. For instance, a use case such as Cohort Analysis and purchase prediction on a given user shopping dataset requires skills like data mining, exploratory data analysis (EDA), feature engineering, data visualization, and Customer Segmentation techniques followed by application of any Machine Learning algorithm that solves the problem at hand (prediction). Ensure to represent the generated insights in an appealing way and communicate the results in a concise, clear and effective manner to the team.

To kickstart your data analytics career, I'd recommend you hone your hard skills like Python, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Excel, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics and Soft skills like Communication, Problem Solving, Decision making and collaboration. For making your resume standout, always quantify the results and impact achieved from all the projects and ensure that you can explicitly explain the tech stacks worked as part of the project.

I hope this answer helps. Apply for my 1:1 Mentorship (1,3 or 6 months, as per your preference!) and I can assure that you will be able to crack data analytics roles, solidify your understanding of concepts and gain confidence under my guidance and mentorship where I'd offer handy tips and resourceful strategies!
