Mentee Question
Asked by Vipul Girhe | Fresher | Fullstack Developer
I'm a self-taught MERN stack developer experienced in React and Node.js. Despite building clone projects, I haven't received responses to job applications. How can I enhance my appeal to employers?

- While clone projects are valuable for learning, try to diversify your portfolio by working on a range of projects that showcase different skills and functionalities.
- Include personal projects that demonstrate your creativity and problem-solving abilities.
- Create detailed documentation for your projects, including the problem you aimed to solve, the technologies used, and the challenges you faced. This shows employers your ability to communicate and document your work.
- Ensure that your GitHub profile is well-organized and includes a variety of projects. people often check GitHub to evaluate your coding style, project structure, and commitment to open source contributions.
- if possible participate in open source projects to demonstrate your collaboration skills and commitment to the development community. It's a great way to make your work visible and gain experience working on larger projects.
- Establish a professional online presence. Create a LinkedIn profile that highlights your skills, projects, and experience. Engage in relevant discussions and join groups related to web development.
- If possible, seek feedback on your projects and code. Constructive criticism can help you identify areas for improvement and show employers that you are receptive to feedback.
- And lastly , build a good resume .
