Start with a Capstone project or POC (Proof of concept- example given below)related to the domain you wish to work and then start applying for a similar internship. You will definitely get one.

1. Data Understanding skill : how you look at data and what insights you make
2. Data Crunching : If given a data how well you can play with it
3. ETLs and Pipelines : How you will be able to load and transform the data
