Hi Jatin,

Getting anxious is natural and happens with most of the people, the trick is to not let it overcome you and not to let the interviewer feel that you are nervous. For that, some techniques are there that helps you HIDE your nervousness in the beginning of the interview. Once, you are there for 5-7 minutes and sailing through - then the nervousness subsides on its own - so its the matter of initial 5-7 mins - how you tackle and handle that part.

Hi Jatin, Everyone feels little nervousness before any interview but if you are feeling it too much and its spoiling your interview then reason could be you are not well prepared for interview and worrying what could be asked. You need to improve your confident to tackle this problem.

Prepare so well that before interview you are confident enough that whatever comes up during the interview you will be able to solve.

Other thing would be give as many mock interviews as possible so that you get used to interviews and don't create pressure on yourself on the main day.

Hope my answer helps you to tackle this. if you have any other doubt, please reach out to me.

Hi Jatin,

Thank you for such an honest question. For me these are the things that help :

Step 1 : whenever i feel anxious ---> i try to make myself aware that anxiety is a guest currently in my mood drawer and i acknowledge i am being anxious.. A lot of time we face this but don't realise it is anxiety & nervousness creeping in

Step 2 : Almost always, I go and google the company and see how "old" is the company.. how old is the job function etc.. example i used to get very nervous thinking of digital marketing roles when i was a fresher... it always helps me think everything i am thinking about is man made and something i can concur

Step 3 : I have a glass of water and distract myself with either of the three things a) music b)writing down my thoughts or c) colouring - randomly

Once I have done these 3, I repeat step 1 and think, i can do this.

Wish you the best, i am sure nervousness will not take over you.

Hi Jatin! Most of the time this happens when we do replay a negative situation in our mind, and we play it again and again in our mind. This puts us in a loop of "Overthinking" and alters the physiology, some people start breathing heavily and sometimes it can show in body language also.

Getting hold of such thoughts of "What ifs" and some past experiences is helpful.

Identifying such thoughts by Journalling them first and then letting these thoughts go by loosening the grip on them, helps many people.

Let me know if you found it helpful
