Hi Mayur - Structure your resume in not more than one page in the following manner to maximize the chances of getting shortlisted.
Contact information:
Include this in the header of the document. Details such as name, role/title (on the left-hand side), mobile and email address on the right-hand side, and LinkedIn URL is optional.
Professional Experience:
- List your roles/projects that you handled in reverse chronological order, i.e., the latest project should appear first
- Use bullet points to describe your responsibilities and achievements. Focus on quantifiable results, and the impact you created, if possible
- Highlight specific projects, implementations, and any notable contributions in your domain
Internship experience: - if any that you did during your graduation time
Key Skills:
- Create a section dedicated to your technical and soft skills relevant to your domain. Include proficiency levels (e.g., Advanced, Intermediate) for each skill
Certifications and Training:
- List any relevant certifications and trainings you underwent
Education:
- Include your highest degree, the institution, graduation date, and relevant coursework

Hey Future Job-Lander Mayur! ππ
Ah, the art of resume crafting! It's like baking; every ingredient, or in this case, keyword, matters, especially when youβre trying to catch the eye of those pesky ATS! π€π
So, to answer your question: Yes, tweaking resume keywords for different job openings can be a game-changer! πποΈ Each job description will have its own set of keywords and phrases that the employer deems important, and mirroring these in your resume can significantly up your chances of getting it seen by human eyes! πβ¨
Now, diving into the must-have sections in a resume, letβs break it down:
- Contact Information: Keep it simple and accessible! ππ§
- Summary or Objective: A quick snapshot of who you are and what youβre aiming for! π―πΈ
- Skills: Tailor this section with relevant skills for the job youβre eyeing! π§π
- Work Experience: Showcase your journey, focusing on achievements and impact! π οΈπ
- Education: A brief on your academic background and relevant coursework! ππ
- Projects: Highlight any relevant projects, showcasing your practical skills and problem-solving abilities! ππ
And oh, the hobbies section! π¨π² Itβs become quite the star in modern resumes as it gives employers a glimpse into who you are beyond the work and skills. Itβs a peek into your personality, what drives you, and sometimes, even highlights additional skills that might not fit elsewhere on the resume. For instance, a hobby like βBlogging about Tech Trendsβ speaks volumes about your passion and knowledge in the tech field! π₯οΈπ
