Hi Nikhil,
The decision between going abroad for an MS or searching for a job depends on individual goals. Pursuing an MS offers advanced education and potential career advantages, while getting a job immediately provides practical experience and quicker entry into the workforce. Consider personal preferences, career aspirations, and financial factors in making the decision.
Job opportunities vary from domain to domain it depends on which domain you are from. If you are from engineering domain we can connect and discuss in detail. You can book a 1:1 session with me here

Hello Nikhil,
The market is slowly opening up, and we see new opportunities in every field. Cloud computing, DevOps, Cyber and Network Security, and Project management are trending topics. So It depends on what kind of technical domain you are interested in. For example, if you are interested in Cloud computing, start with the basics of AWS/Azure, understand the core concepts, give practice tests and certifications when you are confident enough. Udemy is one of the best platforms where you can find several courses. Acloudguru is another one. If you are interested in DevOps, start learning and work your way through one of the DevOps tools like Docker, Git, Chef, etc.
What are the advantages of getting work experience before pursuing your MS:
- Strengthen your resume & skillsets so that your post-MS job search becomes easy.
- Make some money to stabilize your family and yourself.
- Get more time to ace the GRE/GATE and publish 1-2 papers in top conferences so that you can get into a better school.
So, I'd prefer to get work experience before I pursue my master's.
Please reach out to me directly if you have any questions.
Thanks
Akshay
