💼 TCS Prime Interview Experience

📍 Venue:- TCS Gitanjali Park, Kolkata, WB

👩‍💼 A panel of 3 female interviewers welcomed me. I greeted them with a smile and said “Good Morning, Everyone!" and asked "How are you all doing?”

They replied "Good"

The entire interview lasted for a total duration of 40-45 minutes

💻 Technical Round (TR):-

The interviewer went through my resume and told to introduce myself. I introduced myself confidently. She noticed both C++ and Python on my resume and asked which one I preferred. I chose C++

She gave two coding questions:-

1️⃣ Program to check for a leap year

2️⃣ Program to reverse an array using a function

I wrote the brute force solution, did a dry-run on sample test cases, discussed the time and space complexity and finally said the optimised solution

She was impressed and said "Fine"

Then, she gave a medium level SQL Left Join question as SQL was mentioned in my resume. Also, she asked follow up questions - "Why are joins needed and what are the different joins?"

Finally, she ended with some basic theory questions on C++, OOP, HTML, CSS and JS

👔 Managerial Round (MR):-

She went through my resume and asked:-

1️⃣ Have you done any AI projects?

2️⃣ Tell me about your internship experience

3️⃣ Why did you pursue your engineering from another state?

4️⃣ What domain would you like to work in?

5️⃣ Tell me the best achievement of your life?

6️⃣ How will you work in a team?

She was satisfied and replied "Good, Raunak!" 😁

👩‍💼 HR Round (HR):-

She asked "Tell me about your career vision in the company after 5 years"

Then she asked "What is your biggest weakness?"

I said a bookish answer to which she strongly said "We thought you are different from most candidates and so we expect a genuine reply from you"

This time I honestly answered and saw that she looked satisfied. Then, she asked If I had any queries to which I asked her about the TCS Prime training program. Finally, I asked "How is the cafeteria food?" to which everyone laughed, and the HR smiled and said, “You’ll get to know that soon!”. I also smiled and said "Thank You" 😄

The whole interview was really a satisfying and enriching experience for me 😊

🔖 Final Tips:-

1️⃣ Draft the self-introduction with a mix of both personal and professional touch

2️⃣ Be ready to write code with pen on paper without an IDE

3️⃣ Maintain eye contact in the interview

4️⃣ Stay calm and tell honest answers
