What challenges did you encounter during your software engineering internship search?

Despite having my Bachelor of Engineering degree from Dayananda Sagar Institutions, the job market was a battlefield. 

Every application I sent out felt like a shot in the dark. 

College placements? They offered software engineering jobs, but none that aligned with my interest. 

I had big dreams – I wanted a role that challenged me, one where I could dive deep into system design and backend development.

But reality hit hard. 

The opportunities I initially stumbled upon didn't align with my ambitions. 

It was like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. 

The job market was tough, and I felt lost in the crowd, struggling to stand out.

I realised I needed something more, something extra to bridge the gap between my aspirations and what was available. 

Recognizing that having someone experienced by my side could make all the difference, I sought personalised mentorship.

What inspired you to seek long-term mentorship at Preplaced?

One night, as I scrolled through LinkedIn, I stumbled upon a success story post by Preplaced. 

It wasn't just another success story; it felt real, relatable. 

Seeing others overcoming challenges similar to mine sparked something inside me.

That realisation was the driving force behind my decision to share my story today!

Only after these interview preparations did we step into the realm of real interviews. 

By that point, I felt ready – not just technically but mentally!

I knew how to showcase my skills, express my passion, and handle unexpected questions. 

It wasn't a blind leap; it was a calculated, confident stride into the interview room.

Back in July 2023, finding an internship during a recession felt like an impossible task. 

The job market was tough, and my confidence hit rock bottom.
