Mock Interviews Got me placed

When I was preparing for my placements in the summer of 2019, I decided to stay back in college. I never bought a course, just opened practice section in geeks and started churning questions, about 10 easy questions irrespective of topic/ day. I got an question, if I was able to solve, great, otherwise I would learn how to do it. If there was a new data structure involved, I would just see a Youtube video about it and that's how I built my logical thinking.

I went to my mentor professor, just to talk regarding some other random things.

He gave us few tasks  -

1. Setup mock interviews within students - He said he will provide the logistics, we just need to bring interested serious students/
2. Build projects, prepare one pager for each.

We finished both items. I sure used the second item in my Hiring Manager round, but the first item helped everyone.
Most of the students who participated in those mock interviews were hired in first week and the few outliers also got offer in a month.

That's the power of mock interviews.
