IT industry, as of today, is not one of the highest paid industry indeed but infact the HIGHEST paid industry in the world. Where else have you heard a 21 year old fresh graduate drawing 1lac+ first salary ?

I am Abhishek Sagar, MTech from IIT-Bombay, 2012 batch, and has been working in IT ( Networking Domain ) since 2012 to present, total 12+ years of Experience. The first company that I joined was Brocade Communications, now merged into Extreme Networks. After that, I worked in Juniper Networks followed by Cisco Systems. Now working in small player CALIX.

Yes, jumping companies is a norm in this industry and people do this for variety of reasons which I will discuss in some other blog.

What do I experise In ?

Network Core development falls under the domain of embedded/system programming which is done in pure C language. There are 10s of companies which require experise in Linux System programming/C language be it in the domain of Kernel Development, Android Development, Compiler Development, Distributed Systems, Core Network Development, ASIC Hardware Programming, Device Drivers Development and many more. The beauty of this domain is that - it dont changes overnight like other domains. C programming language stands solid for the last 40 years while many frameworks, languages have come and gone. You dont have to chase just another new tool after afetr 3 years or so which probably happens very commonly in Front-end development.

I expertise in Linux System Programming and Network Operating System Development. 

Today Networking is everywhere. Be it - Distributed Systems, Scalable Systems, Data Centers, Azure Or Google like Clouds. Could you think any application which dont require networking or Networking infrastructure for its development ?  Yes - Winamp ! :p
